Soil Retention Systems, Inc., in Carlsbad, CA is constructing 15,000+ square feet of retaining walls in only 9 days, but the best part is that these walls take advantage of “green” engineering. The Verdura walls use the only completely plantable segmental retaining wall system in production. Not only is construction time and costs lowered using this system but no longer are new developments an eye sore to the community. Lush green walls provide an aesthetically pleasing way to fully make use of the limited free space available in rapidly growing Southern California communities. This environmentally friendly system reinforces Home Depot’s commitment to the community with its new facility opening Fall 2006.
