Civil Designer/Drafter
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- MSE Wall design
- Erosion/scour control system design
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3-5 years engineering experience
- Knowledge of geotechnical, hydraulic, and/or structural engineering a plus.
- Must have a working knowledge of ACAD/LDD
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively on multiple projects, to set priorities and maintain schedules.
- Ability to work from generally stated objectives and guide the direction of projects.
Educational requirements:
Undergraduate degree in engineering (civil, structural, etc.)
Sales Engineer
Qualifications:
- Enjoy Sales
- Ability to not take no for an answer
- Ability to read and interpret grading plans
- General knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles
- Willingness to travel
- Good presentation skills
- PowerPoint, Word, Excel, ACT & basic CAD knowledge
- PE preferred
Objectives:
- To generate new sales for Soil Retention
- Resolve any municipal and/or political threats to product approval
- Facilitate project teams regarding questions/concerns of our products/services
- Maintain and update Soil Retention contacts
- Timely proposal & follow-ups for prospect jobs
- Coordinate jobs including civil, structural designs
- Attend industry functions & events such as BIA, ASCE
- Attend some industry trade shows and events
- Provide field support of design questions when needed
Expectations:
- Minimum of 50 major presentations per year
- Provide extra effort when objectives clog up.
- This not an 8 hour per day position
